- Our Clinic
We offer a state of the art, discrete environment that’s both relaxing and rejuvenating.
New Millennium Medical is a holistic physical medicine clinic. We are made of medical doctors, nurse practitioners, physical rehab specialists, chiropractors and massage therapists to treat the body as a whole. We want to get to the underlying root of the cause of your pain/illness. We provide natural medical care to help alleviate acute pain and we provide rehabilitation and chiropractic care to help your body heal for longer lasting results.
We treat back/neck pain, knee pain, shoulder pain, allergies and headaches/migraines.
Originally Belvidere Family Chiropractic, New Millennium Medical is an expanded and rebranded practice…going from a traditional, straight Chiropractic office to integrated – with additional medical services. We were originally operating Belvidere Family Chiropractic in 1,100 square feet of space. We had already added weight loss consultation (Midwest Ideal Weight Loss), but it was operating in a completely separate location. We desired to have one centralized location for easy access by our clients for both businesses.
We needed a larger unified office space that could serve as a space where Dr. Parrett could be for the rest of his career. We found a medium- sized strip center with about 3,100 square feet of available office space close to his current location. We negotiated a long term lease with first right of refusal to purchase the center.
“I have been a patient of Dr. Chris Parrett since he was in the other location and was branded Belvidere Family Chiropractic.” Not only is he a great chiropractor, but he is also a smart businessman. His new practice is not only aesthetically pleasing, but the newly expanded service offering of New Millennium Medical is also truly unique in the Belvidere and Rockford area. Be sure to ask him about Allergy Testing and Immunotherapy, as I did not believe it would help with my allergies until I tried it!” – John LiCausi, Belvidere IL
We hired a speciality architect for a design package, as we desired a high end, aesthetically pleasing environment for this new office and newly rebranded business. Once the space plan that provided the best flow had been finalized, our architect designed and planned for the interior architectural elements that would support our branding.
With longevity and timelessness driving the design, we focused first on making sure our practice had room to grow and then we focused on the first impression in the space. We desired an upscale, grand and “zen” design, while maintaining the identity of a holistic medical office. We desired an open flow and the level of design to promote the value of care offered and to assist in the conversion of patients.
The front desk is the first thing new patients see when entering the space. We designed an elegant and transitional front desk with a stacked stone wall behind. A pair of chandeliers, one centered over the front desk and the other at the seating added grandeur and drama. The stacked stone provided an elegant backdrop for the logo sign. Custom retail display and hospitality cases were designed opposite the front desk and flanking the front door, helping to anchor the design. The final touch of coffered ceilings was added to support the upscale design, providing the feel of excellence and expertise to new patients.
Down the corridors and into the rest of the office space, we supported the upscale design through paint, updated ceilings and new carpet tile. Sconces were added down the corridor to add rhythm. Millwork was designed to maximize the usable space in the business office, which is located directly behind the front desk. Storage cabinets were designed for the Exam rooms, providing meeting space and lockable storage. An apothecary storage was designed in the back office out of the way of patients. At our request, we consulted with the architect on the finishing items, providing a detailed shopping list of the size, type and finish of the key furnishing and art pieces needed to fine-tune the space.
Please feel free to visit and take a tour of our new space!
Meet Dr. Chris Parrett
Dr. Parrett is what they call in Belvidere, a BNR (Born and Raised). He graduated from Belvidere high school in 2003. Thereafter, he attended Rock Valley College and received an associate of science degree. He then went on to Northern Illinois for a year before deciding to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA where he received a bachelor’s in science and a Doctorate of Chiropractic degree.
Going after the Cause
Early on in my schooling, I had figured out that I wanted to do something in healthcare, but didn’t know what direction I wanted to go. It was long after that I got a passion for exercising and nutrition. I then had gone to a chiropractic office with my parents, had a great talk with him and found out that it is a healthcare based on getting to the root of the cause of an issue the natural holistic way. I realized that my passion for exercise and nutrition went hand in hand with that.
Trained to Analyze Spinal Health
Dr. Parrett attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. Palmer is known in chiropractic circles as the “Fountainhead of Chiropractic.” The college was named after D.D. Palmer, the inventor of chiropractic who founded the college in 1897. While there, Dr. Parrett learned about the motion of each muscle and joint to enable him to analyze and adjust specific areas of the body. He worked in a community outreach clinic during his time at Palmer, treating patients who couldn’t afford chiropractic care at the school clinic.
Dr. Parrett was also chosen to join a trip that opened a free clinic in India, where he treated children and adults at no charge. The group spread chiropractic health to more than 10,000 people!
Enjoying our Local Area
In Dr. Parrett’s spare time, he tries to stay as active as possible. As said before, exercising is must for him. There are some great parks in the area in which he, his wife Emily and their dog Sophie love to go hiking. For leisure time, he and Emily love trying the hidden local cuisines in the area.
Supporting our local community is important to Dr. Parrett. He serves on the local board of the YMCA and is a member of the Cosmo Club that donates to many great causes in the area.
